There are a few housing options available. We have six bedrooms at the school which we fill first. We then rent small cabins and rooms in houses in our town. Occassionally we havea few host family opportunities. Participants have shared or private rooms with shared baths. All housing has electricity and potable water. Most have Costa Rican style hot showers. Participants may have to walk up to 20 minutes from thier housing to the school.
In order to stay with a host family a participant needs to have high-intermediate Spanish language skills and outstanding time management skills.
Room, board (3 meals a day (Costa Rican style) plus snacks, 2 meals on weekends), use of laundry facilities, all materials needed for the course, use of computers and basic internet access, and roundtrip transportation from the airport in San Jose together cost $600.
