| Mary Scholl |
Trainers
Mary Scholl, senior trainer, trainer of trainers and site director, is a graduate of SIT's Master of Arts in Teaching program, has been teaching for over 15 years. She has taught in both public and private settings in Asia, North America and South America. Mary lives on a beautiful farm in the heart of Costa Rica, and loves cooking and yoga. Areas of professional interest for her include creativity, leadership, learner development, and reflection. Mary has taught the SIT TESOL Certificate course as well as the CELTA co-validated versions in Brazil, Boston, Kyoto, Vermont and here at home in Costa Rica.

| Ruth Goode |
Ruth Goode has a Certificate and University of Cambridge Diploma in teaching ESL, as well as a Master's of Applied Linguistics with a concentration in TESOL from Macquarie University in Australia. She has been teaching ESL since 1983 and training teachers since 1993. She has taught in England, Kenya, Spain, the United States, and Japan. Ruth currently teaches ESL at City College of San Francisco, supervises student teachers at San Francisco State University and teaches for the TESOL Certificate program at California State University at Hayward. She was previously Academic Director of St Giles College in San Francisco, the biggest CELTA course provider on the West Coast and continues to work both internationally, both as a CELTA and SIT Certificate trainer.

| Susan Berry |
Susan Berry earned her Master of Arts in TESOL from the School for International Training. She is originally from Santa Cruz, CA and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara. Her teaching and training experience includes teaching in West Africa with the Peace Corps and teaching in the Northeastern United States. She loves the work and the travel and the never ending teaching/learning cycle.
